Business Analyst

Overall Accountabilities:

Accountable for identifying, planning, mobilizing, and carrying out changes to the business process via Aperia’s suite of software tools as part of the overall business strategy.

Primary Responsibilities include:

•       Act as a bridge between business organizations

•       Act as subject matter expert (SME) for client product

•       Gather and define business requirements

•       Analyze and document requirements

•       Determine business and system impacts

•       Communicate requirements within specifications

•       Ensure solution is identified

•       Assess changes during project lifecycle

•       Verify solution meets all requirements

•       Manage client relationships as primary contact for day-to-day operations, projects, issues, and escalations

•       Assist with any additional tasks assigned by BA Manager

Additional Responsibilities:

•       Manage necessary changes for project stakeholders

•       Interact with BA Manager and project team to establish implementation schedules

•       Identify and resolve business issues affecting the project and/or software packages

•       Create, inspect, and ensure the project deliverables satisfy the business requirements and adhere to applicable standards. May include the following:

•       Project Intake Requests

•       Functional Requirements Specifications

•       Software Requirements Specifications

•       Mock-ups

•       Release Notes

•       Test Cases, Test scenarios

•       User Cases, User Stories

•       User Guides and other supporting training documentation

•       Oversee implementation activities, per current guidelines

•       Validate feasibility of Change Requests

•       Identify and document changes during the project lifecycle

•       Discern scope of change as related to initial business requirements

•       Identify and document processes, procedures and guidelines to support new functionality

•       Identify and coordinate training requirements to support new functionality with impacted areas and department managers

•       Validate readiness of technical and business process changes to support new functionality

•       Provide accurate, timely status information of project deliverables to the project stakeholders and BA Manager

•       Perform final review and approval of project deliverables

•       Coordinate project communications

•       Monitor file and job processing to ensure integrity of data

•       Collaborate with project teams on new and upcoming initiatives for awareness and knowledge of client impacts

•       Support project efforts through production implementation and warranty

•       Work with BA Managers to understand client impacts of product roadmap

•       Take initiative to foster continued education

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing. Other disciplines or experience substitutions maybe considered.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a BA role with increasing responsibility
  • Requirements gathering, data modeling, and specifications for new web applications
  • Relational databases and SQL query tools
  • QA use cases, QA testing, and Bug Tracking tools
  • Software Project Management
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word is a must
  • Previous programming experience and writing T-SQL queries is a plus
  • Experience in the Financial or Electronic Payment Processing industry is a plus
